NDE REPORT

Reedy Engineering has performed extensive research into the changes in the ASME Section III requirements, from 1971 to the present, for nondestructive examination (NDE), certification, and impact testing. The results of this research are presented in a report format, summarizing the requirements and the changes thereto.

In addition to NDE and impact test requirements, the report identifies the certification that is needed for each type of material. The report permits the user to readily and easily identify the ASME Section III requirements for materials by each Edition/Addenda and Code Class, and to identify the requirements that must be satisfied to order material to meet more than one Edition/Addenda and Code Class.

This permits a significant reduction in the amount of inventory that needs to be maintained for each material type by combining material meeting different Editions/Addenda and Code Classes.

This report shall identifies the ASME Class 1, 2, 3, MC, and NF certification, impact testing, and NDE requirements for the following material types.

  • Bolting Materials (Bolts, Studs, and Nuts)
  • Forgings and Bars
  • Plate
  • Tubular Products and Fittings Welded with Filler Metal
  • Seamless and Welded (without Filler Metal) Tubular Products and Fittings
  • Castings

The cost of this report is $10,000. Reedy Engineering provides continuous support for use of this report at no additional cost. Annual updates can be provided at $1,000 per year. The report will be provided in hard copy and can be provided in electronic format.
